DHAKA: A team of SWAT, the elite tactical unit of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police rescued two persons; hours after gunmen had taken about 30 people hostage inside a restaurant at Gulshan of the capital on Friday night.

The law enforcers around 2:30am on Saturday rescued Argentine Chef Diago and Bangladeshi electrician Belal Hossain who went hidden to the next door during the attack. 

Besides, an Amy unit, a 30-member commando team of Navy, a 8-member team of CID Crime Scene, SWAT, RAB and Police are ready to launch their rescue mission immediately.
