Another ‘Ansarullah Bangla Team man’ held in India

Another Bangladeshi national, suspected member of banned militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team, has been detained in New Delhi of India.

According to reports published in news media on Friday (Aug 11), the suspected militant, identified as Rajaul Ahmed, was detained in a joint special drive conducted by West Bengal and New Delhi police on August 1.

It is been reported that Rajaul has been detained on information provided by West Bengal police and later handed over to them. 

According to Bangladesh Police sources, after Ansarullah Bangla Team was banned here in 2015, its members changed started their activities under the name of Ansar-al Islam. Later in this year, government banned Ansar-al Islam also. 
  
Earlier on Aug 6, Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Anti-terrorism Squad (ATS) in a joint raid detained another suspected militant by the name Abdullah from Mujaffarnagar area of Uttar Pradesh.
