BENAPOLE (JESSORE): Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) heightened security measures in order to prevent smuggling of rawhide of sacrificial animals to India through Benapole-Putkhali border in Jessore.

Besides, police presence has been stepped up. This reinforcement of security measures is taken for 1 month, starting from the day of Eid-ul Azha.

BGB and port police officials confirmed the matter to Banglanews on Tuesday (August 21).
