1st ODI: Bangladesh win toss, bat first against Zimbabwe

SYLHET: Bangladesh have won the toss and opted to bat first against Zimbabwe in the first ODI of three-match series at Sylhet International Stadium on Sunday (Mar 01).

Bangladesh are keen to show the same dominance that they have demonstrated in the one-off Test winning the match by an innings and 106 runs.

Before heading to this game, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe faced each other in 72 ODIs with Bangladesh winning 44 of them, and Zimbabwe winning 28.

According to espncricinfo, the Bangladesh make their way out to the middle, as the Zimbabweans take up their positions. Not the biggest of crowds, but it's a fairly noisy one for this first ODI. Chris Mpofu will take the new ball. Liton Das has come out to open with Tamim Iqbal, from the look of things. Two slips in place

Wesley Madhevere, fresh off the U-19 World Cup, is getting his cap as debutant for Zimbabwe.
