A well planned all round bowling attack and cool headed rotation of bowling resources by captain Akber led Bangladesh restricting Indian teens to177 all out in 47.2 overs. All Bangladeshi bowlers bowled exceedingly well giving very little free bees. None but the best batsman of the tournament so far YBK Jaiswal batted with comfort. At midway Bangladesh looks set for rewriting their cricket history. There is no hurry for scoring rate. Patience and passion which this teen tigers have shown all the way so far in this tournament should lead them to dream destination. Need to keep wickets at hand play till 20 overs with patience rotating the strikes and with wickets at hand reassess the situation after 20 overs. These matured heads on young shoulders can do it though Indians have a very strong bowling unit.
Akber again was lucky with the coin and was smart in opting to field. Avisheek a medium pacer was taken in place of left arm spinner Murad. The moisture retaining in wicket had some assistance for the seam bowlers. Shoriful and Shkaib bowled at right channel and on perfect length forcing Indian openers run dry. As soon as Avishek came at first change Saxena playing a Jail Out stroke was caught at backward point. India lost the first wicket for 9 in the 7th over. It was not possible for even top quality youngster Jaiswal taking any liberty as Akber kept rotating his bowling resources very smartly.
However, the second wicket partnership of Verma and Jaiswal added very careful 94 in 21.5 overs. When these two were batting India looked like getting out of the hole. Akber brought in his tramp cards Shakib and Rakib at the crucial stage. Both delivered gold. Varma and most important wicket of skipper Grage was taken in quick succession by Tamim and Rakib. Varma was caught in the deep point cutting wild to a Shakib delivery and Garge was caught in the cover to a Rakibul delivery that gripped and bounced. India was soon 3/114. While all these were happening top quality Jaispal was accumulating with ease. Indian innings got rocked Jaiswal and Veer were picked up in consecutive deliveries off Shorful making it 156/5 in the 40th over. From there on India did not recover. Teen tigers smelling the blood wrapped up the innings for 177 in 47.2 over. Jaiswal scored 88. If not his innings Indian score could be far more miserable. Only other notable scorer was Verma with 38. What a master stroke it was playing Avishek today. He took 3/40.
The new bowling pairs Shoriful and Shakib took 2 each giving away 31 and 28 runs respectively. All 6 bowlers used bowled to the plan.
Readers wait with patience for a big hurrah at the end of match. These boys deserve to create history.
