Pakistan beat Bangladesh in 2nd T20I to win series

DHAKA: Pakistan won the Twenty20 international series after beating Bangladesh by nine wickets in the second match in Lahore on Saturday (Jan 25).

Earlier in the day, Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah Riyad won the toss and decided to bat.

Tamim Iqbal’s 65 run off 53 balls helped Bangladesh score 136 for six. 

Mohammad Hasnain bagged two wickets while Shaheen Shah Afridi and Shadab Khan took one wicket each.

Pakistan reached the Bangladesh-set 137 run target with 20 balls remaining.

Captain Babar Azam’s not out 66 and Mohammad Hafeez’s not out 67 runs respectively made the match easy. 

Saiful Islam bagged the lone wicket. 

Pakistan won the first match at the same venue by five wickets on Friday.

The third and final match is at the same venue on Monday (Jan 27).
