Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee rang bell for the second cricket Test of the two-match Test series between Bangladesh and India at Eden Gardens.

They rang the bell at 12:55pm (local time) on Friday (November 22).

At the invitation of Indian Premier Narendra Modi and President of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Sourav Ganguly, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina went  to Kolkata on Friday (November 22).

A special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the prime minister and her entourage members took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10: 15 am on Friday.

The Prime Minister earlier arrived at the Eden Gardens at 12:25pm.

The prime minister will stay at Hotel Taj Bengal, Kolkata.

Sheikh Hasina is watching the first session of the final match of a two-match Test series between Bangladesh and India, beginning at 1:00pm (local time).

The prime minister will depart Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport at 10pm (Indian time) and the flight is expected to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 11:30pm (BST).
