Langeveldt, Domingo join tigers’ conditioning camp

DHAKA: New head coach of national cricket team Russell Domingo and newly appointed pace bowling coach Charl Langeveldt have joined conditioning camp of tigers on Wednesday (August 21).

On the third day of the conditioning camp, the primary team members of the national team started their camp with the running session from 8am to 9am. The two newly appointed coaches were with the cricketers the whole time.

Tiger’s new head coach Russell Domingo and pace bowling coach Charl Langeveldt arrived in Dhaka Tuesday (August 20).

The contract with Domingo was made for two years. He was interviewed by BCB in Dhaka on August 7.

So, Tigers will be coached by Domingo in their upcoming lone Test match against Afghanistan and tri-nation T20 series.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) appointed former South Africa pacer Charl Langeveldt him for two years, replacing Courtney Walsh.

The former Proteas pacer has had stints as the bowling coach for South Africa and Afghanistan.

However, a 36-member squad of the Tigers started conditioning camp on August 19 ahead of a Test match against Afghanistan and a tri-nation series accompanying Zimbabwe.
