Kiwis set Pakistan 238-run target

DHAKA: New Zealand has set 238-run target for Pakistan in the 33rd match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 at Edgbaston, Birmingham on Wednesday (June 26).

James Neesham’s not out 97 runs off 112 balls with 5 boundaries and 3 sixes and C de Grandhomme’s 64 off 71 balls with 6 boundaries and one over boundary helped their side post 237 runs.

For Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi bagged three wickets while Mohammad Amir and Sahdab Khan picked up one wicket apiece.

New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson has won toss and opted to bat.

It is the must-win game for Pakistan who faced severe criticism after their loss to arch-rivals India.

Their 49-run win over South Africa breathed life into their campaign but the road ahead is a tough one.
