DHAKA: Bangladesh national hockey team former captain Ibrahim Saber passed away in his Dhanmondi residence here Wednesday (June 19). 

He was 74.

He breathed his last in the afternoon.

The national award winning player was suffering from old-age complications.

In Dhaka University (DU), Ibrahim Saber was a blue medaled player. 
He led Bangladesh national squad in 1979 Asian Games.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and various sports personalities expressed deep shock at the death of Ibrahim Saber.
