England win toss, elect to bowl

DHAKA: England have won the toss and invited West Indies to bat first at the19th Match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 between England and West Indies at The Rose Bowl, Southampton on Friday (June 14).

The match is scheduled to begin at 3:30pm (Bangladesh Time)

Evin Lewis, Andre Russell and Shannon Gabriel make it three changes for West Indies. Ashley Nurse, the spinner, misses out for an extra quick.

After winning the toss, Eoin Morgan said, "The wicket's been uncover, a lot of rain around, a bit of moisture," 

"The World Cup is all about turning up on the day and adapting to conditions. West Indies proved in home conditions that they are a very strong side," he added.

Jason Holder said, "We're up for the occasion, we all know what's at stake."

West Indies XI

Chris Gayle, Evin Lewis, Shai Hope (wk), Nicholas Pooran, Shimron Hetmeyer, Jason Holder (capt), Andre Russell, Carlos Brathwaite, Shannon Gabriel, Sheldon Cottrell and Oshane Thomas.

England XI

Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan (capt), Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler (wk), Chris Woakes, Adil Rashid, Liam Plunkett, Jofra Archer, and Mark Wood.
