DHAKA: The warm-up match between Bangladesh and Pakistan ahead of the World Cup has been called off at the Swalec Stadium in Cardiff.

Due to the persistent rain and inclement weather, initially the toss has been delayed and finally the match has been declared abandoned.

The match was scheduled to be held at 3:30 pm Bangladesh time.

Bangladesh earlier beat Pakistan in each of their last four encounters since the 2015 World Cup -- a 3-0 whitewash in Bangladesh in 2015.
 
Bangladesh, meanwhile, will play against India in one last warm-up on Tuesday (May 28) before the World Cup. 

Bangladesh will play their World Cup opener against South Africa on June 2.
