Windies choose to bat against Bangladesh

DHAKA: West Indies have won the toss and have elected to bat against Bangladesh in the fifth of match of Tri-Nation Series at Dublin in Ireland on Monday (May 13). 

The match is scheduled to begin around 3:45pm (Bangladesh time). 

Raymon Reifer, who has played a single Test against New Zealand in December 2017, and Abu Jayed, who played five Tests and three T20Is, make their ODI debuts.

Raymon Reifer, the left-arm fast bowler and lower order batsman, replaced Shannon Gabriel. Saifuddin sits out and Abu Jayed gets a game.

Mohammad Saifuddin is suffering from a back injury, in addition to his tennis elbow.

West Indies have already sealed a spot in the tri-series final, beating Ireland two times.

Bangladesh have had only one full game, and it resulted in an eight-wicket win with plenty to spare against West Indies. 

Tamim and Soumya put on 144 for the opening stand then before Shakib Al Hasan took control of the chase.
