Shakib seeks NOC for UAE T20 League, BCB to decide Shakib and BCB president nazmul hasan papon

DHAKA: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is yet to reach any decision regarding the participation of all-rounder Shakib Al in the upcoming UAE T20X League - a franchise-based T20 event – scheduled to be held between December 19 and January 11.

Shakib, who is undergoing a rehabilitation program for his injured finger and remaining out of tournaments including the ongoing series against Zimbabwe, applied for a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) to BCB.

BCB media committee chairman Jalal Yunus confirmed the matter to the press saying that the board is yet to take any decision in this regard.

The board has not taken any decision immediately as his injury is not fully recovered, he added.

"It will take a day or two whether the board will give Shakib the NOC," said Jalal.

The finger injury that ruled Shakib out during the Asia Cup, now has made him absent in the home series against Zimbabwe.
