MUNSHIGANJ: A leader of Jatiyatabadi Samajik Sangskritik Sangstha (JASAS) was chopped to death by miscreants over previous feud at Rajanagar Bazar under Sirajdikhan upazila on Monday night.

The deceased was identified as Engineer Asad Chowdhury 34, Upazila unit Joint Convener of JASAS, a cultural wing of opposition BNP.

Local sources said that miscreants chopped Asad with lethal weapons at Rajanagar Bazar around 9:30 pm, leaving him injured critically.

He was rushed to Dhaka Mitford Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at around 10:30pm.

Police arrested five suspected persons in this connection.

Sirajdikhan police station Officer-in-Charge Abul Bashar said confirmed the matter to banglanews.
