Menon-Badsha again to lead Workers' Party

DHAKA: Rashed Khan Menon and Fazle Hossain Badsha have been again respectively elected President and General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Bangladesh.

A 81-member new committee was formally announced at the closing sessions of the 10th congress of the party at Institution of Diploma Engineers (IDEB), Bangladesh in the capital on Tuesday (November 5).

President of Workers' Party Rashed Khan Menon gave welcome speech at press briefing in presence of newly-elected members of the central committee.

Re-elected General Secretary Fazle Hossain Badsha said: “Five new members have been added to the 15-member Politburo Committee. The new five are Jyoti Sarkar, Nazrul Islam Haqqani, Ali Ahmed Enamul Haque, Nazrul Haque Nilu and Haji Bashir Ullah.”

Workers' Party is one of the key constituents of the ruling Awami League-led Grand Alliance government.
