Khaled on 7-day fresh remand in 2 cases

DHAKA: Two Dhaka Courts placed expelled Jubo League Dhaka South Organizing Secretary Khaled Mahmud Bhuiyan on seven days fresh remand in two cases filed under anti-money laundering and narcotics acts.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sadbir Yasir Ahsan Chowdhury placed Khaled on four-day remand in the case filed with Gulshan Police Station under Money Laundering Prevention Act.

The investigation officer (IO) placed him before the court with a 10-day fresh remand plea in the case after completion of 17-day remand in two phases.

Meanwhile Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Kanak Barua placed Khaled on three-day remand in the narcotics case filed with Motijheel Police Station.

The IO of the case placed him before the court with a seven-day remand petition.

Earlier on September 19, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mahamuda Akther put Khlead on 7-day remand in two cases.

Earlier, four separate cases were filed against Khaled Mahmud Bhuiyan, who was arrested for running an illegal casino.

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) filed 3 cases with Gulshan Police station after transferring him to police there on Thursday (September 19).

Later, on September 27, another court placed him on 10-day fresh remand.

RAB arrested Khalid from his Gulshan residence on Wednesday (September 18).
