DHAKA: Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader said countrywide corrective raid is meant to break down corruption circle in Bangladesh.

Quader, also the Road, Transport and Bridges Minister made the remarks to journalists after distributing clothes among the destitute at Dhakeshwari Temple in the capital on Saturday (October 5).

Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad and Mahanagar Sarbojanin Puja Committee took the initiative to distribute clothes.

Obaidul Quader said those who want to tarnish government’s image will not be spared, no matter how powerful they are.

The raid is also against the intruders as per directive of the party president. The intruders will not be allowed in grassroots committees which are yet to be formed, Obaidul Quader also said
