DHAKA: Road Transport & Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader urged the countrymen to be united to fight the evil forces of communalism and extremism.

He made the call after attending the jamaat (congregation) of Eid-ul-Fitr at the South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad Wednesday (June 5).

"All should be united to build a non-communal country," Quader said.

The Awami League general secretary further said condition of highways was very good this time so that the holidaymakers have celebrated Eid comfortably.

JS Chief Whip ASM Nur-e-Alam Chowdhury, Whip Abu Sayeed Al Mahmud Swapan, Parliamentary Standing Committee on Health and Family Welfare Chairman Mohammad Nasim, Science and Technology Minister Architect Yeafes Osman, Parliamentary Standing Committee on Labour and Employment Chairman Md Mujibul Haque, JS speaker husband Sayed Ishtiaq Hossain and other lawmakers attended the Eid jamaat.
