Kader Siddique now gives ultimatum to leave Oikyafront

DHAKA: President of Krishak Sramik Janata League Bangabir Kader Siddique now came up with an ultimatum to leave Jatiya Oikyafront.

Kader Siddique said that his party will leave the alliance on June 8 if Oikyafront doesn't settle inconsistencies that exist in the alliance by next one month. 

He confirmed his decision at a press conference at party office in capital city’s Motijheel area on Thursday (May 9).

He also said Jatiya Oikyafront had been formed under the leadership of Dr Kamal Hossain on October 13 last year. On November 5 that year, we joined the Oikyafront. But many problems have created in this alliance after the national election.

“But some activities of Oikyafront have been questioned to people. They could not move properly. Oikyafront could not stand beside the victims of poll violence. We have failed to hold pre-announced public rally in Shahbagh on April 30”, Kader Siddique said. 

In reply to a query from reporters, Kader Siddique  said before giving the ultimatum to leave Oikyafront, he spoke with top leaders of the alliance Dr Kamal Hossain, ASM Abdur Rab, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Mahmudur Rahman Manna, Mostafa Mohsin Montu about inconsistencies.
