MP-elect Mukabbir Khan set to take oath at noon

DHAKA: Gonoforum leader Mukabbir Khan is scheduled to take oath as a lawmaker of 11th parliament on Tuesday (April 2).

Mukabbir Khan, elected from Sylhet-2 with symbol of rising sun (Ganoforum’s poll symbol), said that he sent letter to Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury to organize the oath ceremony. 

Parliament secretariat, later, confirmed him that the oath ceremony will be held around 12 noon. Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury will administer the oath ceremony. 

Gonoforum executive president Subrata Chowdhury told Banglanews that none would take oath as member of the 11th parliament as per decision taken in the last meeting of the party.

Sultan Mohammad Mansur has been expelled from party fro taking oath flouting party decision. Decision about Mokabbir Khan will be taken in central committee meeting of the party slating for April 20, he added.
