ASHULIA (DHAKA): Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said convicted BNP chief Khaleda Zia might be shifted to the new central jail in Keraniganj from the old central jail in Nazimuddin Road of Old Dhaka.

The minister was talking to the reporters while visiting a Buddhist Temple in Khejur Bagan area of Ashulia in Savar, Wednesday (March 27) afternoon.

“The jail she is in now will be developed into a museum. Therefore, she might be shifted to the new jail in Keraniganj anytime,” he added.

State minister for disaster and relief Enamur Rahman Enam, among others, was with him.

However, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia landed in the old central jail in February 2018 in a graft case.
