JOYPURHAT: Bringing allegations of irregularities and fake vote casting, chairman candidate of Kalai upazila polls Sunday (Mar 10) announced that he boycotted the polls.

Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) backed aspirant Tarequl Islam made the announcement in a press briefing at Kalai Press Club around 2:00pm.

Tarequl alleged that his agent has been kicked out of the polling centers and supporters of ruling Awami League backed chairman candidate were engaged in casting fake votes to ensure victory.
