DHAKA: Islamic Foundation urged all mosques across the country to arrange special doa and munajat on Friday (March 8) after Jummah prayers seeking speedy recovery of ailing Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader.

Assistant Director of Islamic Foundation Muhammad Nizam Uddin said, “A special doa and munajat, praying for quick recovery of the minister from illness, will be held after Salatul-Jummah at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.”

“People from all walks of life are requested to joint the munajat,” he also said.

Quader also Road Transport and Bridges Minister is now undergoing treatment at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore.

He fell sick around 7:45am because of breathing problems post-Fazr hours on March 3.

Prior to his shift to Singapore hospital, the AL leader was admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) hospital.
