DHAKA: The third phase of voting to upazila council elections will be held in 127 upazilas on March 24.  

Election Commission (EC) Joint Secretary (Public Relations) SM Asaduzzaman disclosed the schedule to reporters Thursday (Feb 14) afternoon.

For the third phase polls, the last date of submitting nomination form is Feb 26, scrutinizing on Feb 28 and the last date of withdrawing candidacy is Mar 7.

This time, the upazila parisahd polls will be held in five phases.

As per the schedules announced by the EC earlier, voting will be held in 87 upazilas in first phase on Mar 10 and in 129 upazilas in second phase on Mar 18.

Besides, the fourth and fifth phases voting will be held on Mar 31 and Jul 18 respectively.
