DHAKA: Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj congratulated her Bangladeshi counterpart Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali on the victory of the 11th National Election took place on December 30.

Sushma Swaraj sent a message of congratulations to Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali on Tuesday (January 1). 

However, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh issued a press release in this regard on Wednesday (January 2). 

Indian government will continue to provide Bangladesh with all type of assistance as a close neighbor, the message reads.

Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali also thanked Sushma Swaraj for the message, expressing hope to work for the sake of two nations.
