NILPHAMARI: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir urged leaders and activists to guard polling stations on the day of the 11th national election slated for December 30.

Mirza Fakhrul said, “Guard voting centers on the day of voting, so that your deposit stays safe, because fair election is not possible from a mere Election Commission (EC).”

The senior BNP leader came up with the urge at an election rally in Saidpur of the Nilphamari on Saturday (December 22).

Mirza Fakhrul said that a free and fair election cannot take place under the party government. This is the proof. We participated in this election for the sake of democracy and release of BNP Chairperson (Khaleda Zia). We’ll remain in the field till finish.
