BNP candidate sent to jail in Kushtia

KUSHTIA: Reza Ahmed Bachchu, a BNP candidate from Kushtia-1 (Daulatpur) constituency, was sent to jail in a case filed under the explosives act.  

Kushtia District and Sessions Judge Arup Kumar Goswami gave the order after Reza had appeared before the court seeking bail in the case on Wednesday (December 19).

Reza was on eight-month High Court bail in the explosives act case which expired on Tuesday, according to Anup Kumar Nandi Public Prosecutor.
