CHANDINA (COMILLA): BNP will not move itself away from the upcoming elections despite all the conspiracy hatched by the ruling Awami League.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir made the remarks while addressing a rally in Comilla’s Chandina upazila on Wednesday (Dec 19), as part of election campaign.

“The government has snatched all of our rights. They are sustaining the power forcefully. Holding the state power during elections is illegal. They are using all the state machineries. The countrymen will fight all their plots,” he told the rally for Oikyafront candidates Kazi Mujibul Haque (Comilla-3) and Dr Redwan Ahmed (Comilla-7).

The rally started on Redwan Ahemd Degree College Field around 1:15pm.

“Everything (conspiracy) will be dismantled by the people’s unity. No conspiracy will work to the people,”

“Awami League is a party of plotters. They are plotting to keep BNP off elections,” Fakhrul added.

BNP Central Co-organizing Secretary Abdul Awal Khan, Executive committee members Mostafa Khan Safari and Md Salahuddin Bhuiyan Shishir, among others, took part in the rally.
