DHAKA: The Election Commission (EC) ordered all the political parties and concerned others to take off all the materials used for publicity on the upcoming national election before 12am Monday (Nov 19).

Necessary action will be taken against those who will not comply with the directives, it warned.

If there had any political poster, leaflet and banner in public places i.e. roads, marketplaces and government or non-government establishments; those must be removed by own responsibility. 

Authorities of city corporations, municipalities and all other local government bodies and Returning officers have been directed to take necessary steps. 

EC also sent the set of instructions to the authoritative bodies in this regard.
