DHAKA:  Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad, while addressing the party’s grand rally at Suhrawardy Udyan on Saturday, expressed his concern over holding of the national elections.

He, however, urged the government to ensure proper atmosphere for holding a free and fair election.

Ershad also revealed his party’s 18-point goals for building a happy and prosperous Bangladesh.

He said; “We are concerned whether the polls will be held…. But we are ready to take part in the election and we want an amiable atmosphere for a free and fair election.”

Ershad also asked the party leaders and activists to take preparation for contesting in all 300 constituencies.

Party co-chairman Rowshan Ershad said as her party wants to go to power along with the people. She also urged the party leaders and activists to be united in this regard.
