DHAKA: General Secretary of ruling Awami League Obaidul Quader said that Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists will be brought to justice if any proof of their attacks on journalists is placed. 

He said, “If any BCL activist attacked journalists, give me the proof with list. I will ensure the justice.  Now you tell me, who were the persons responsible.”

Obaidul Quader, also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister, was replying to questions posed by reporters at a press conference held in city’s Dhanmondi area on Monday (August 6).

Obaidul Quader said, “I don’t believe general students took to streets with weapons. These innocent students have no political motives to launch attack on Awami League’s office.”
