DHAKA: The lawyers of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, who is sentenced to five years jail in a graft case, will get the certified copy of the verdict on Monday (February 19), according to court source.

According to sources, Judge of Dhaka Special Judge’s Court-5 Dr Md Akhteruzzaman assured Sanalullah to deliver the certified copy of Zia Orphanage Trust case verdict on Monday as Khaleda Zia’s lawyer and BNP legal affairs secretary Sanalullah Mia requested for it on Sunday (February 18).

Later Sanalullah told Banglanews that he requested the court for the copy by Sunday afternoon.
However, a court official Mokarram told Banglanews that the judge gave assurance for the copy issuing on Monday. 

Earlier on February 8, a special court in Dhaka sentenced five years imprisonment to BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia in Zia Orphanage Trust graft case. She was taken to Dhaka central jail following the verdict.
