‘Return to democracy thru movement’

DHAKA: Opposition BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir categorically said that mass movement would force government to return to democracy.

“The government is going to amend the Constitution to assume power next,” he alleged.

He came up with the observations while talking to journalists after paying homage at mazar of Ziaur Rahman at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital on Sunday morning.

Fakhrul said: “If government tries to make any amendment, people will not accept it.”

He also complained that the government is trying to do all types of conspiracy to assume power again.
