FROM BAGERHAT: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also ruling Awami League, on Wednesday said her party would not do any work that affects Sundarbans.

“Country’s southern region including Mongla port will be developed by setting up Rampal power plant,” she said.

She came up with the assertion while addressing at a rally at Rampal Sriphaltola school field on Wednesday noon.

The region would be enlightened with electricity and heavy industry would be established and many people would be employed, she added.

The premier also criticized BNP-Jamaat and said they do unhealthy politics.
