DHAKA: Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu on Tuesday observed that the hartal is not political strategy of opposition leader Khaleda Zia rather it is her theory of killing people.

The information minister came up with the observation while taking to journalists after visiting hartal victims at Dhaka Medical College Hospital in the afternoon.

Inu said, “In 1971, Pakistani forces killed Bangladeshi people by torching fire. At present, their successors are doing same type of killings. Hartal is not political strategy. It is just a theory of killing people.”

The lawmaker also urged opposition BNP chairperson to withdraw hartal, and he said, “Please don’t use hartal as a political technique.”
