CMP DC Mizanur Rahman dies of coronavirus

CHATTOGRAM: The Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) Mizanur Rahman has died of coronavirus infection.

He breathed his last at 4:00 am on Monday (July 13) while undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit of Central Police Hospital in Dhaka’s Rajarbagh area.

Mirza Sayem Mahmud, additional deputy commissioner of CMP, confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

He said Mizanur Rahman was admitted to Central Police Hospital after being infected with Covid-19 on June 28. Later he was transferred to ICU as his condition deteriorated.

Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) Commissioner Mahbubur Rahman expressed deep shock over the death of Mizanur Rahman. 

In a message, he prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed deepest sympathy to the bereaved family members.
