RANGPUR: At least four people were killed and five others injured in a road accident in Rangpur on Wednesday noon (July 1). 

The incident occurred when a freight truck overturned on Syedpur-Rangpur highway near Anantapur Dangapara in Taraganj upazila. 

The deceased were identified as Farhad, 28, Anil Roy, 50, Abu Bakkar, 42, and Khoyrat Ali, 48. 

Taraganj police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Jinnat Ali confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

The injured were admitted to local hospital, he added.
