Husband, wife among 3 killed in Mymensingh road crashes

MYMENSINGH: Three people, including a man and his wife, were killed and two others injured in two separate road accidents in Bhaluka upazila of Mymensingh on Wednesday (June 3).

The deceased were identified as Akkas Ali, 50 and his wife Kulesa Begum, 42 and Kamrul Islam, 35.

Al-Mahmud Adnan, in-charge of Bharadoba Highway Police Outpost, told Banglanews that an unidentified vehicle hit a pick-up van carrying four from behind on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway, leaving Kulesa Begum dead on the spot.

Being informed, members of fire service rushed to the spot and took Akkas Ali to Bhaluka Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead, he said.

The injured were taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH).

Beside, a Dhaka-bound vehicle hit a motorcycle in Sidstor area this morning leaving its rider Kamrul dead on the spot, Al-Mahmud Adnan added.
