DHAKA: Bangladesh has confirmed total 480 deaths from coronavirus (Covid-19) as 28 more people died in the last 24 hours, said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Sunday (May 24). 

Besides, 1,532 people tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours raising the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 33,610.

Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general of DGHS came up with the information in an online regular health bulletin about the latest corona situation in the country.

As 415 patients recovered in last 24 hours, the number of total recovery reached 6,901, Dr Nasima Sultana added.

Bangladesh reported its first croronaviurs case on March 8 while first death on March 18.
