Coronavirus: Bangladesh confirms 4 more deaths, 29 new cases

 

DHAKA: Bangladesh has confirmed four more deaths from coronavirus disease in the last 24 hours pushing the death toll to 13, Health Minister Zahid Maleque said on Monday. 

Besides, 29 more people have tested positive, raising the total number of coronavirus cases in Bangladesh to 117, he added.

Health Minister Zahid Malique disclosed the information in a conference held at BCPS Bhaban in the capital.

The health minister advised people to follow rules of quarantine and social distancing seriously to avoid a catastrophic situation.

Besides, the death toll from the coronavirus or COVID-19 has crossed 69,000 globally as of Monday noon.

Coronavirus has so far infected more than 12.74 lakh people around the world, according to worldometer.
