DHAKA: A total of 325 Japanese nationals are set to leave here for Tokyo by a special chartered flight of Biman Bangladesh airlines on Thursday (April 2) morning.
The Biman’s Boeing 777 aircraft carrying the Japanese citizens will leave Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10 am for Narita Airport of Japan, Biman Managing Director and CEO Md Mokabbir Hossain said.
On Monday, 269 US citizens left here by a special chartered flight of the Qatar airways while 225 Malaysians and 139 Bhutanese citizens left here on March 23 through chartered flights on their personal choice amid the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.
The total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus affected persons in the country is now 54, according to the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR).
Bangladesh so far reported six deaths from coronavirus. Currently, 22 patients are undergoing treatment. Twenty-six coronavirus patients have recovered till date.
