NAOGAON: At least three people were killed and two others injured as a truck hit an auto-rickshaw in Ferigate area of Manda upazila in Naogaon on Monday (Feb 24) morning.

The deceased were identified as Joynal Abedin, 45, Rafieul Islam, 36 and Ashraful Islam, 39.

Manda Police Station sub-inspector (SI) Aminul Islam told Banglanews that the truck rammed the Naogaon-bound auto-rickshaw from behind on Naogaon-Rajshai Highway at 9:30 am, leaving three passengers of the auto-rickshaw dead on the spot and two others injured.

Later, locals took the injured to Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH), the SI added.
