CUMILLA: Two robbers were killed in a reported gunfight with police at Loharpul Bridge area under Kotowali Police station in Cumilla on Friday (February 21).

The incident happened at around 1:30 am.

The deceased were identified as Emon, 40 and Jahangir, 28.

A LG gun, shells of five rounds of bullets, two daggers, a wire cutter and a knife were recovered from the spot.

There were seven to eight cases were filed against them on various charges including murder, arms and extortion.  

Porimol Das, sub-inspector of Cumilla Detective Branch of police, confirmed the incident.
