Bangladesh China mission opens hotline

DHAKA: Bangladesh Embassy in Beijing has opened a 24-hour hotline to reach out expatriate Bangladeshis if case of emergency support due to outbreak of coronavirus in China.

The hotline number is +86 178-0111-6005.

This number has been circulated to Bangladeshi expatriates, especially students and researchers residing across the China, a foreign ministry issued a press release on Saturday (January 25).

According to release, there are about 300 to 400 Bangladeshi students are now in Wuhan--the virus epicenter.

The release said Bangladesh Embassy was in Beijing is in touch with them.

As of Saturday, the release said no news of any infection or death has been caused by coronavirus to any foreigners.
