DHAKA:  Three people were killed and twenty others injured after a bus overturned in Bahubal upazila of Habiganj on Friday (January 24).

The deceased were identified as Kamala Akhter, 35, of Daulatpur village under Habiganj Sadar upazila, Abu Sayed, 30, who was an assistant of the driver and a resident of Morora village under Sayestagan upazila,  and an unidentified woman aged 60.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bahubal Model Police Station Kamruzzaman told Banglanews that the bus got smashed after bumping into a roadside tree, leaving three persons dead on the spot. Out of the 20 injured, two persons are in critical condition. They were taken to Habiganj Modern District Sadar Hospital and others.
