Three workers electrocuted in Hazaribagh

DHAKA: Three workers were electrocuted while installing river demarcation pillars behind Sikder Medical Hospital in Hazaribagh area of the capital on Wednesday (Jan 22). 

The deceased were identified as Jahur Sheikh, his brother Saiful Sheikh and Manzurul. 

Another worker was injured in the incident that took place at 10:42 am, said Fire Service duty officer Ershad Hossain to Banglanews.
 
He said on information, they rushed to the spot and recovered the three bodies. The injured was rescued and admitted to the Sikder Medical Hospital.

Piling work was underway to install river demarcation pillar behind the hospital, Ershad said, adding any of pillars somehow came contact with the 11,000 volt electric wire at that time leaving the three workers dead on the spot and injured another one.
