SATKHIRA: Police have found a missing college girl dead two days after she went missing from Shyamnagar upazila of Satkhira on Friday (January 10).

Dead body was recovered from a crop filed at Bollobpur area of the upazila at around 9 am.

The deceased was identified as Mariam Khatun, daughter of Abul Kadir of Patharghata village of Shyamnagar sadar upazila.

She was an honours student of Shyamnagar Government Mohsin Degree College.

The deceased's father, Abdul Quader, said that Miriam went out of home for Lachipur market two days ago and did not come back.  A General Diary was registered with Shyamnagar   police station on January 9.

Family could not specify who killed the girl but confirmed that it was a murder, said Mohammad Nazmul Huda, Officer-in-Charge of Shyamnagar Police station.
