KUSHTIA: Five people were killed after a truck ran over an auto-rickshaw on Pabna-Ishwardi Highway in Bheramara upazila of Kushtia on Tuesday (December 24).

The accident took place around 3:20pm.

The deceased were identified as Jalal Uddin, 32, son of Dobir Molla of Sarer Ghat area of Bagha upazila of Rajshahi, Mezba Udin, his wife Runa Begum, 26, her son Rujbi, 7 and   Mezba’s mother Mahmuda Khatun.

Bheramara Police Station Sub Inspector (SI) Asad told Banglanews:  “Five of them were declared dead at Bheramara Upazila Health Complex and Kushtia General Hospital. Dead bodies were kept at Kushtia General Hospital’s morgue for post-mortem report”
