Biker, pedestrian killed in Rajshahi accident

RAJSHAHI: A motorcyclist and a pedestrian were killed in a road accident at Tetultola in Mohanpur upazila of the district on Sunday (Dec 15) morning. 

The deceased were identified as biker Sifat Hossain, 20, of Shah Makhdum Thana area and pedestrian Khayer Ali, 50, of Keshwarhat area in the upazila. 

Mohanpur Police Station officer-in-charge Mostaque Ahmed said the accident took place around 8:45am as motorcyclist Sifat hit Khayer after losing control over the steering, leaving both critically injured. 

They were taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where doctors declared them dead, he said. 

The bodies were kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC added.
